Clasy here! Currently learning HTML in order to use this site.
To those of you from MuseScore, I'll be updating the site with contact progress and whatnot. Please be patient.
PS: My date and time formatting is YYMMDD with military time. Said times are fixed to Pacific Standard Time so as not to doxx myself.

Added the 'Chatbox Archive!' section of this site. It's very time-consuming to manually edit all those messages and fit them into HTML, but it works.
I'm not fully sure where this site's gonna go, but I might make another one solely for my MuseScore pals. Who's to say?
Chatbox Archive!

- Clasy: Test6!
- Fish: Hello?
- Fish: Testing?
- Clasy: It works!! Hi Fish! I'll lose Wifi access in a few minutes, so it might be
- Clasy: might be a while until I respond.
- Fish: Fair enough! I'm glad this works as a temporary solution.
- Karol: Test!
- Karol: Very nice!
- Fish: Hey, welcome Karol!
- Karol: Thanks!
- Karol: This is pretty cool!
- Lorak: Oh hey, I found this too: https://www5.cbox.ws/box/?boxid=957685&boxtag=C6UaKO
- Torie: yousa no talkie like mesa
- Fish: Ooh, this is much better.
- Fish: Hi Torie
- Fish: And Lorak
- Fish: Do these work as emoticons?
- Fish: Niiiiiiiice
- Fish: Well, goodnight everybody!
- Karol: goodnight!
- Karol: Heyyy, I made my own Cbox!
- Karol: Also, I found that Cbox runs on Hetzner
- Karol: Neocities is Portland Oregon somewhere
- Karol: Hetzner is Germany :nerd:
- Karol: 🤓
- Karol: @Totally not Clasy @Also totally not Clasy Test.
- a#: wow it's me, i exist, hello people
- a#: i love how i don't end up with 50,000 links to clear after coming here :>
- Evnika: Hello!
- Karol: Oh hey you can do profile pictures!
- Karol: I need to add one.
- Karol: Test.
- Karol: Another test!
- Karol: Yay!
- Karol: Hello a#minor! That's the great thing about a live chat. The thing is that if the chat is busy, some things might be missed. That is unlike the forum. Till later!
- a#: yeah, that is a little bit sad
- Clasy: I cannot believe this is happening. I finally get to talk to you guys from home.
- a#: but that won't be a problem for me at all, thanks to my *very high activity levels*
- Clasy: Hey, Evnika! Long time no see.
- Clasy: You too, A#. How've things been?
- a#: this really is awesome. very brain cell idea and i'm so glad it actually works :DDD
- a#: [oh no what's up with that blue smiley thing]
- Clasy: The automatic emoji thing lol
- Clasy: I've been meaning to work on actually creating a website for a while now. This is as good an excuse as any.
- a#: [it's so weird to see a smiley in blue though haha...]
- a#: that's really coolm what were you thinking of putting on the website?
- a#: [that m's supposed to be a comma i cant really see my keyboard asdfgh]
- a#: as for how i've been -- well, i'm still here and able to sneak out here like this so yey lol
- Clasy: [Hah, it is]. Well, over the past year, I've put together a massive document of... everything, in a sense. The table of contents alone is about 3 pages long. I'll integrate parts of it here.
- Clasy: It's good that you have at least some autonomy. Go and get your freedom lol.
- Clasy: There's a pretty low character limit on this.
- a#: [sorry, looks like i have to die now : ( see you later!!]
- Clasy: See ya!
- Clasy: Slight correction: The table of contents is four pages long.
- Karol: Hey Clasy!
- Karol: It appears the backend for the Cbox is a Hetzner from Germany
- Karol: Oop, I can't delete messages.
- Torie: yousa no talkie like mesa
- Karol: Oh hi Torie!
- Torie: wesa go chuggie chuggie choo choo chooie
- Karol/Lorak: I wonder if that'll do better considering my real-time personality.
- Karol/Lorak: "I've been meaning to work on actually creating a website for a while now. This is as good an excuse as any.
- Karol/Lorak: I remember.
- Karol/Lorak: Testing.
- Karol/Lorak: Ohh documents, nice.
- Clasy: Somebody's been having some fun. I've always thought that if you had an account for both Karol and Lorak, it could be named KaroloraK.
- Karol/Lorak: Haha
- Karol/Lorak: I actually called it Lorak-Karol or something similar once.
- Karol/Lorak: Ever heard about the final reveal of Torie and MistyMistery?
- Clasy: Yep, I did see.
- Karol/Lorak: Nice.
- Karol/Lorak: I once told Locke in a game livesteam, "Livechat me is different from forum me", haha.
- Karol/Lorak: Anyways, I'll have this tab open while I'm working/doing homework.
- Karol/Lorak: How've you been?
- Karol/Lorak: It must be rough considering home country blocks a lot of websites and all.
- Lorak: Test
- Clasy: True, it feels different (both your text and the livechat feel).
- Clasy: Whatcha working on? I'm on Summer Break right now, so I'm not too pressured now.
- Clasy: I've been pretty alright. Browsing the internet is always funky given what I can and can't do, but at least I've got YouTube. I have a week's worth of video saved up and the time to watch them.
- Karol/Lorak: More like chatting. 😅 I'm talking with Evnika at the moment because the cbox is quite different from MuseScore and Discord, as it's limited to 100 messages and the profile doesn't stay there.
- Karol/Lorak: Also another friend off another community.
- Karol/Lorak: Ah summer break, nice. I hope you enjoy. Wow, that's a lot of video. I think I got over a thousand videos in my watch later, with most I don't even plan to watch, lol.
- Karol/Lorak: Clasy, do you have my emails by any chance?
- Karol/Lorak: I'm not certain if I gave them already.
- Clasy: Ah, alright lol. In that case, we have 11 messages before the first messages start drifting into the void.
- Karol/Lorak: Make that 10.
- Clasy: Thanks, I'm doing my best to enjoy. Once you get that many videos in one playlist, it's too hard to find anything you actually want to watch
- Clasy: I think I saw one of your emails on your MPP account. Speaking of, I managed to log in. My account can be found @ https://mpp.community/forum/user/clasy
- Clasy: And yeah, I'm gonna quickly find a way to save all these messages.
- Karol/Lorak: Also, I've been thinking about hosting a website for chaos lol too. Maybe a forums based one but it's a thought at least.
- Karol/Lorak: I'd be curious to know about the one for the MuseScore too
- Karol/Lorak: Wow html.
- Clasy: Good on you not getting sucked into that rabbit hole (or black hole, as I'd put it).
- Clasy: Glad you like it. But even with over 100 messages at this point, no messages have been removed.
- Clasy: I went to the chatbox settings/control panel and saw this sort of progress bar (bottom right), so maybe the limit's higher: https://i.ibb.co/gQCrh2C
- Karol/Lorak: Interesting. Link is 404 not found.
- Clasy: Oops, this link should work: https://ibb.co/gQCrh2C
- Karol/Lorak: Oh nice!
- Clasy: A text to HTML tool would be useful. I might go looking for one soon.
- Karol/Lorak: That'd be really great if it preserved a fair amount of messages, that way people could catchup upon return visiting.
- Karol/Lorak: I found one: https://text-html.com/
- Karol/Lorak: Though I don't think it'd be what you're looking for.
- Karol/Lorak: I just searched for "text to html" converter on Bing.
- Karol/Lorak: Huh, I might be wrong.
- Karol/Lorak: Actually, I might be wrong about being wrong.
- Clasy: A website for chaos could be very useful to defend against another Mango situation. We could have a proper history archive that way.
- Karol/Lorak: This will be some test html. [Karol used HTML here, which was unsuccessful. It messes with the site, so I've removed it.]
- Clasy: Oh wow, that was quick. I'll keep it in my list of resources for sure.
- Karol/Lorak: Or a similar situation, exactly! The great thing that'd be if we were to host our own forum website is we got full control of everything! html, css design, moderation powers...all that.
- Karol/Lorak: Funny enough, cbox runs on Hetzner which is based in Germany. If I were to host a website for chaos lol, it'd probably run on Hetzner because of the affordable financial cost.
- Clasy: I was meaning to see if any of this could be done. Or maybe this, or this, or this.
- Karol/Lorak: Hmmm, ok.
- Clasy: BBCode works :o
- Karol/Lorak: Nice!
- Clasy: What is the deal with Hetzner? This is the fourth time you've brought it up already lol.
- Clasy: [sub]Test7![/sub]
- Clasy: [size=large]Test8![/size]
- Karol/Lorak: Hetzner is a website host. Long story short, I've got a thing for computer networks lol.
- Karol/Lorak: https://www.hetzner.com/
- Karol/Lorak: I also built this website: https://www.loveforlove.org for a band I help out at. It now runs on Hetzner with WordPress for the website.
- Clasy: Cool! Guess you have some experience with these matters. I mean, if I remember correctly, you're a computer science major, so it makes some sense.
- Karol/Lorak: Yes that is correct, a computer information science major. :D
- Clasy: Is there a difference between the two?
- Karol/Lorak: Computer Science does with more about how computers work, while Computer Information Science doesn't deal with much math by comparison and applies computers with people in the real world.
- Karol/Lorak: I have to head off early this time, in the meantime I can't check mppc (mpp.community) because of my productivity blocker but I'll check it when I have the chance later.
- Clasy: I see. So you'd hire a CS major to build a PC, and you'd hire a CIS major to build a company website.
- Clasy: See ya!
- Karol/Lorak: Not too much the PC, more like the individual parts that build up the PC or the website.
- Karol/Lorak: CS I think deals with more algorithm stuff, something what the average computer user or programmer needs to know.
- Karol/Lorak: Though, good question to a specific topic I'm not even too sure about.
- Karol/Lorak: Another topic rather, but any new originals since the block on MuseScore?
- Karol/Lorak: I got a few if you want to check them out: https://www.youtube.com/@karolcpmusic
- Karol/Lorak: You can actually see a part of what I look like in the live performance video
- Karol/Lorak: Anyways, see you later!
- Clasy: Oh, okay. I'll be doing some more research on this when my college path comes into the forefront.
- Clasy: I have a good amount of unreleased music, though most of it is either unfinished or too short to really count as their own tracks. I might add some to the site.
- Clasy: I have a very long music queue right now, but I'll keep yours in mind. Do you remember if I've listened to your MuseScore scores?
- Fish: This is awesome.
- Fish: Although, it's a little hard to read.
- Fish: Just because of the fact that you can't reply to messages.
- Clasy: True, but it's what we've got. We could number the message we're replying to or something. If I wanted to reply to your third message, it could go like this:
- Clasy: 3. True, but it's what we've got.
- Clasy: Don't really know about how well it would actually work, though.
- Fish: Mmm, fair. I think this works fine a solution for now.
- Fish: We'll figure something out.
- Fish: Ah, you cannot edit your messages.
- Clasy: Shall we begin figuring it out, then? I made a list of every site from the 'Not the End!' discussion that works here without a VPN.
- Clasy: They're as follows: Padlet, Google Hangouts, Magma, Sketchers United, Disqus, and MPP Community
- Clasy: MPP, Padlet, and Hangouts seem like the best overall
- a#: i love how like half of those are art websites lol
- a#: anyways, those are some pretty great options. time to either epically invade a forum or reveal my beautiful empty gmail to the world
- Karol/Lorak: Good afternoon.
- Karol/Lorak: Yes, you've listened to my MuseScore scores before.
- Fish: Mmm, nice. I still think Hangouts is the best of those, but it's also the only one I'm familiar with.
- Fish: Padlet seems neat, Mpp seems a little less private than what I think we're going for here.
- a#: yeah, i've never used hangouts but i also think it'd be the best option out of these [partially also because my computer can't seem to always find the server for mpp... :>]
- Clasy: Padlet's more chaotic (which would be fitting for us) and more customizable, but it suffers from having no replies and being laggy when there's a lot of messages.
- Clasy: I also have a Padlet ready to go right now if we want to try it out for a bit.
- Clasy: If my middle school memory serves me right, Hangouts is better for group chats (you can reply and stuff), has different channels, and is the most private option.
- Clasy: I've hardly looked at MPP, so hopefully Karol explains it in more detail, but making an account was a needlessly roundabout journey. It's the most forum-like and has DMS, apparently.
- Poet: ooh this is interesting
- Poet: apologies for not appearing sooner
- Poet: test
- Karol/Lorak: Hangouts, nice
- Karol/Lorak: mpp.community is a forums for the multiplayerpiano.net community. The forums is NodeBB, which I see is a good hybrid between a forum like MS and real-time chat (like Discord)
- Karol/Lorak: Also, I got word from the staff friend that your account should be admitted.
- Karol/Lorak: I suggested it in case we needed a backup to stay in contact, and also since the DMs features are nice too.
- Karol/Lorak: "needlessly roundabout journey", were there issues?
- Karol/Lorak: If it all helps, I think searching for guides on how NodeBB works would help.
- Karol/Lorak: Oh hi Poet!
- Fish: I'm open to try Padlet for a bit, and if it doesn't work we can switch to hangouts.
- Fish: I've used Hangouts extensively, and am more than happy to run it if people want.
- Fish: Hey Poet! Good to see ya.
- Fish: This seems to delete messages after 24 hours.
- Clasy: @Karol/Lorak I was able to log in yesterday and follow you. Is being "admitted" something different?
- Clasy: For the MPP login, there's this weird question to which the answer is a link. It took a while to figure that out. There's also the fact that Karol needed to contact a staff member to approve me.
- Clasy: @Fish Just so our communication doesn't get scattered all over the place, let's start with Hangouts. Most of my issues with using it have become irrelevant cause of this chatbox.
- Clasy: I don't think the limit is exactly 24 hours (as I remember there was a message just a minute before the oldest one here), but I'll try to update the chatlog daily.
- Clasy: Either Poet or Karol could send you my Gmail.
- Karol/Lorak: I was able to log in yesterday and follow you. Is being "admitted" something different?
- Karol/Lorak: No, same thing. I got word that you were approved.
- Karol/Lorak: The answer is multiplayerpiano.net
- Karol/Lorak: I'm friends with one of the staff, which means a speed advantage for you. Don't worry ;)
- Karol/Lorak: I don't believe I have your Gmail, but let me check my emails.
- Karol/Lorak: Clasy, I don't have your email.
- Clasy: I guess if you know what the answer is, it's just a matter of time, then
- Clasy: I thought I DMed you my email on MS. I'll email you now, though.
- Karol: Ok.
- Karol/Lorak: Test.
- Karol/Lorak: I got your email!
- Clasy: I saw!
- Karol/Lorak: Yay!
- Fish: Alright, Hangout's works for me. Can everyone here DM me their Gmail on musescore? @Clasy, I'll get yours from Poet.
- Clasy: Yippee! I think I DMed you (Fish) my Gmail instead of Karol, since you were the one who needed it for the Hangout.
- Poet: i sent fish the email i've been using and yours
- Fish: Clasy, I immediately forgot you sent me that hahaha
- Fish: Ok, Poet and Clasy, I invited you to a group chat. It will probably come from James Mcloughlin. Not my name, but it's the email I'm using haha.
- Poet: is that james mcloughlin :ooooo
- Poet: bruh i hate emojis
- Fish: Hahaha
- Fish: I think you should get an email inviting you to a chat, probably.
- Poet: alr
- Clasy: I didn't receive anything.
- Fish: Hmmmmmmm...
- Fish: I sent a separate test email, see if you get that. I'm gonna do a little testing.
- Fish: Also, try just googling "Hangouts", and signing in with that email. It might have a chat there now.
- Clasy: Okay, I got both the email and the Hangouts message. Very nice.
- Fish: Oh good good,
- Fish: Poet, check your hangouts website too, please.
- Clasy: Just to inform you all, Fish has gotten me into a group on Hangouts (or Google Chat or something?)!
- Poet: i got the direct message
- Poet: nothing else i suppose
- Fish: Alright Poet, I have invited you to the group chat. Let me know if you didn't get anything.
